Rupam Varma

Rupam Varma is a  visual artist, Certified Mithila Painting Artist, and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), who channels her cultural heritage, personal journey and creative process into a diverse range of artistic mediums. Skilled in pencil sketches, watercolor, oil, acrylic, fabric art, Mithila painting, and Zentangle Art, she brings intricate, culturally rich designs to life with depth and intention.

As a public art installation artist, Rupam engages communities in immersive, large-scale projects that promote artistic expression and environmental consciousness. Her work often incorporates recycled and repurposed materials and natural elements, transforming them into vibrant interactive artworks.With over 20 years of teaching experience, Rupam has inspired students of all ages to embrace art as a tool for creativity and mindfulness.

Currently based in the Charlotte area, Rupam leads inclusive workshops and art classes, fostering artistic growth while championing  the use of natural pigments and Upcycled materials in creative practice.
