I am so happy to share my wheel thrown pottery and hand built ceramics with you. Using these handcrafted pieces in your home elevates each dining experience and enhances your living spaces.
I was first introduced to clay my freshman year of college where I took an Introduction to Hand Built Ceramics course. That one class hooked me for life! I fell in love with the smell, texture, and endless possibilities of the medium. I went on to take every pottery course I could fit into my curriculum.
For many years after college, work, family and outside commitments monopolize my time. Then one day I came across an article for a pottery class at a local Art Association. I joined up and my love affair with clay began all over again! I spent many years attending classes, open studios and volunteering until I became a "basement potter." My husband was instrumental in building my studio in the basement of our home. I worked out of that studio for a few years before we relocated to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Now my studio is housed in a small converted barn on my property where I throw on the wheel or hand build as the mood strikes.
